The Rebirth of Kings Norton Handbells

HandbellsKing's Norton Handbells are being re-formed in mid-March and will have a few sessions before Easter to start ringing again.

On May 16th, from 3.00 until 4.30 pm, in St Nicolas' Church, we will welcome new apprentices. We aim to continue on Monday afternoons until July 11th, with a gap at half term. We will then pick up again on the 2nd Monday of October and continue to ring through Advent, Christmas and Epiphany.

This two-term pattern will continue thereafter. The group will meet from March to July with a gap for Easter and from mid-October until January.

For those interested in the technical aspects of our craft, we ring from numerical notation, either with a 12-bell set (one and half octaves) or with 3 octaves. All depends on our numbers and on the balance between experienced ringers and apprentices.

We are a friendly, welcoming bunch and we provide full support for our apprentices. Our team is a member of Handbell Ringers of Great Britain.

Times and events for younger ringers will be announced once we have re-built the adult team.
