St Nicolas' Church
At St Nicolas', the parish church, once a month early risers are able to enjoy a 9 o'clock "said" Holy Communion (i.e. without music). It is a well-loved, tranquil service which uses the traditional language of the 1662 Book of Common Prayer.
While Covid restrictions remain in force, the main Sunday service starts at 10.00 am every week and lasts about half an hour. There is a limited number of places available and these have to be booked by noon on the previous Friday with the Parish Office.
Our morning service is either a Holy Communion service or a Service of the Word (without Communion), led by one of the Ministry Team. Details can be found on the weekly newsletter, which usually appears on this website on a Friday. Once a month, come rain or shine, we have started to hold an outdoor service at 10.00 am in the churchyard at which there is no restriction on numbers.
For the time being, we are unable to offer any evening services.
